Step 1 is Live!

Three vertical photos of an Irish dancer's feet, the first and third in hard shoes and the center one in black ballet type slippers, arranged in staggered diagonal starting in the lower left corner to the upper right one. The background the photos are on shades diagonally from white to black starting in the upper left corner. On the lighter part, above the first two photos, in a black script font are the words Practice Makes Perfect, a MKaL, starting August 30th. In the lower right corner is the Knit Dance Repeat Designs logo.

Our adventure has begun! Step 1 of my Practice Makes Perfect MKaL đź”— is live!

And if you haven't purchased the pattern yet, there's still lots of time to join us ;)

What is Practice Makes Perfect? It's a warm knit scarf pattern, suitable for practically everyone in your life. It is made up of knit & purl stitch patterns most commonly seen on ganseys (traditional fishermen's sweaters). Steps are being released every week so we can knit it "together". I'll be posting progress photos on my Instagram account along with a weekly photo to give a rallying point for the chatter. Use the hashtag #PracticeMakesPerfectMKAL on your own progress posts so everyone can find you and give lots of support.

Every part of Practice Makes Perfect, the Warm Up and each Step, is available in a standard pdf, which includes a chart and line by line written instructions, and a low vision & screen reader accessible pdf, which is the line by line written instructions presented in 24pt sans serif font, all black type, that has been completely left justified, and contains minimal abbreviations to keep it clear for those knitters using screen reader technology. I believe it's more fun for everyone when more knitters can play along.

Won't you dance with us?

That's all for today! I'll be posting a little project round up later this week.

Yours in yarn and a mystery knit along,
SĂle
